Signature Cut — why we go beyond the certificate
Your GIA certificate says "Excellent" for cut. But this category covers hundreds of different proportion combinations — some producing exceptional brilliance, others merely acceptable. At Pimento Diamonds, we decided to make the difference.
The American Gem Society (AGS) mapped over 25,000 proportion combinations for the round brilliant diamond and identified a narrow zone of maximum optical performance: the "Ideal" grade (AGS 0). We integrated this scientific database into our platform to evaluate every diamond beyond what its certificate indicates.
A diamond carries the Signature Cut label when it simultaneously meets these criteria: GIA/IGI/HRD certificate with Excellent cut, angle combination within the AGS Ideal or Excellent zone, Excellent symmetry and polish, no strong fluorescence. This is not a marketing badge — it's a verifiable filter based on the diamond's actual proportions.
